Let’s be honest—sex conspiracy everyone. People love reading sex-related articles, trying out new positions and that too in interesting places. But it’s also true that at some point of their life, people tend to lose interest and in turn, the will to have sex. Find what a recent research has found:

A study conducted by BMJ Open (an online journal) surveyed participants and asked them several sex-related questions. The contestants included 4,839 men and 6,669 women in the age group of 16 to 74 years who had been sexually active for one year.

The results were pretty insightful—15 per cent men and 34 per cent women confessed having lost interest in sex.

The main factors responsible for losing interest in sex were related to age, and physical and mental health of both the sexes.

Further, participants who had been diagnosed with sexually transmitted infections admitted that it affected them. The same was true for those who were forced to have sex in the past.

Those who had struggled with sexual issues in the past also reported feeling emotionally detached with their partners.

For those who have lost interest in sex, experts believe that sex does not always have to be about a steamy foreplay and masturbation.

Something as basic as holding hands, cuddling and touching each other can help build intimacy and bring back the lost spark in your sex life.
